07 Live WellDear Diary,
Several months have passed (at least, I think that's how long it has been - time is really weird here), and we've been living mostly without trouble. The Empress showed us images of a few different States, and told us about them, and we ended up deciding to live in North Fusionya - one of the biggest states, made up of mostly forests and mountain, with a bit of grassland on the side. There are only two villages there, and both are deep in the trees, and are almost entirely made out of the trees! It's so creative, how the people live there... Many of the trees have been grown big enough and wide enough to turn into houses, and that's what people have done.
Our place is nearer to the edge of the forest, in a tree like all the others. It's gorgeous, and so cleverly done. We're finding we hardly need food or sleep here, so we've been able to spend all our time exploring and meeting people. Romeo's found a group of people (it almost feels odd to keep saying 'creatures', even tho
06 Rehabilitory Memories"Okay... We're here, and you said she's safe now. Are you gonna tell me what's going on?"
Tory smiled lazily, leaning back in his seat on the low black leather couch as Devvy passed him a cocktail. Nearby, the Dark Khardic hovered near the wall. Something was off in this place... something was stifled, suffocated. He didn't feel entirely right here...
They had driven in Tory's black car to the middle of the city, where his driver had parked in the garage of an expensive-looking mansion sprawled along the side of the river. Tory had made Zediah bring the still-unconscious Flarey into the place, and into a strange-looking room connected to a laboratory that he called his 'Med Lab'. There he had laid her down carefully before connecting several wires to her skin and aiming a strangely colored lamp at her. He had announced that she'd be fully recovered in a few hours, and had led them to the lounge room where they now sat.
"Who are you?" Zediah asked tensely, rubbing his arm. At some point
05 Visitors to Remember"How come you don't use the Emperor's bedroom?"
Secin groaned, opening her eyes. "Of all Frost's plagues, they sent me you..."
"It's bigger than this one!"
Sighing, Secin sat up, pushing the white cat off her chest.
"Must you wake me constantly each day?" she asked, wiping her face. Dev tilted his head.
"How come you sleep? You don't have to."
"I prefer a sense of a constant routine, and sleep allows a break between..."
"You sure it's not just coz you got nothing to do anymore?" Tilting his head the other way, Dev fastened his fangs around a corner of her blankets, pulling them back off the bed. Secin shook her head and stood up.
"I would wonder the same of you, except it appears that rather than sleep, you fill your time with pestering me..."
Dev sat down next to the bed to scratch his scarred left ear.
"You're gonna get visitors today." he said simply. Secin looked at him.
"Yup. Like, when other people who don't live in your place come to your place, they're called--"
Legends: Her Creation.Legends of Creation.
A tome, wove of all the stories told of Her power, Her grace and Her life. That Her memory never be forgotten.
~ Jerrid Belan.
The First Story.
Many turns ago, in a time before time, before space, before the beginning - there was a single dimension. It lived, alone, seperate, single in its ownership of all existence. The beings who lived there grew, laughed, loved, unlike any other.
In this dimension, there was said to be a great and powerful man. He owned the cities and the mountains, the beaches and the towns. But he ever wished for more power. This powerful man then decided, that he would take it. He would create for himself, soldiers, powerful and numerous, and with them, he would control that world.
So he gathered wise, intelligent scientists to create those soldiers. And for many months, he pushed them harder and harder, forcing them to go without food or sleep to create his vision.
But he was too harsh. The scientists had made eight soldiers to
04 A Little Bit ClearerDear Diary,
It's me again... still Juliet. And now we have our new life. I guess I should try to explain...
When we woke up, we were in this place... A woman called Santilli had taken us in, looked after us until we recovered from the transfer. That seems ordinary enough. But we found out that it's nothing like ordinary...
Somehow, we're not in the same place we were. But it's not just a different state, or country - we're in a different dimension. I didn't understand it at all until Santilli explained it to me. Apparently, there are hundreds, thousands and millions of seperate dimensions, all overlapping one on top of the other, each with different places and realities. Romeo and I come from one of the many human dimensions - and where we are now is nothing like it. Santilli said it's called Diasmura - commonly known as the Realms of Imagination. It sounds almost dorky to name a dimension that, doesn't it... But she said it's called that for a good reason.
Tomorrow, Santilli's going t
03 Some Kind of Arrival"Juliet...?"
Sitting up, Romeo blinked furiously, trying to clear her eyes. It was dark... or maybe her eyes just weren't working. Rubbing them, she swung her head around, trying to see... well, anything.
"Shh, hush darling, lie down."
Romeo flinched, swinging an arm out at the sudden voice in the darkness. She felt it connect with something soft, felt what seemed to be a hand, only... furred... wrap itself around her wrist and gently place it next to her body.
"Hush hush, no need to get so het up, dear."
"Juliet? Oh, your pretty friend. Don't worry dear, she's here."
Romeo rubbed her eyes again, shaking her head, confused.
"Why can't I see..."
"Oh dear, that's just the transfer. Don't let it bother you none, it'll wear off soon as anything. Why don't you lie a bit, let yourself rest."
Romeo flinched, tensing as gentle hands pushed her down onto a soft surface.
"Where am I? I want to see Juliet! Is she okay??"
The voice cooed softly. "Dear now, you worry! Your friend
02 Unveiled DarkNobody did anything of their own accord...
Shutting her eyes, Flarey let herself fall onto the couch. That was it... What would happen now?
Letting herself fall forward to lie down, she bit her lip, struggling with everything that had happened... She'd finally learned. Why everything had happened... what had happened...
Three hours previously...
"Is she dead...?"
The Dark Khardic scowled deeply, his white irises glistening with rage and barely controlled emotion.
"If she is, you know what will happen..." he hissed, his fists clenching nail cuts into his palms.
On the ground, Zediah kneeled a few feet away, stunned. The scene kept blazing through his mind, again and again... He couldn't make sense of it. Flarey had been close to breaking, her powers going crazy, like she was about to transform but couldn't, somehow. She was screaming at the Anim3Fr33k, willing herself to attack him and unable, as her own body and powers broke her apart slowly. Then the Dark Khardic... the only thing sto
01 Not a Lot of Empress"Puh-leeeeeease?"
"I've said no, I'll not repeat it thrice."
"I bet I can make you!"
Perking up his ears, the white cat leapt up onto the dark wood desk and sat himself down on the open scrolls in front of the white-haired young woman.
"Dev I do not even hold memory any longer of your request, do you not find this fruitless?"
The cat yawned. "I could use some fruit. Sugar and liquid and stuff. Or a smoothie! Do you lot do smoothies?"
The woman sighed.
"You have been around far longer than I... surely you are a better holder of such information."
"Hey how come you talk like that?"
The woman looked up at him, her pale blue eyes narrowed slightly.
"Like the thees and the thous and the I-do-not-smish-words-together-poshiness?"
The cat tilted his head. The woman rolled her eyes.
"I know not of what you speak."
"See! You don't know not of what I speak, you don't know what I'm on about!"
"Dev, go and bother the chef if you desire sustenance. I
